Greenjar takes the photos, letters and keepsakes you've already scanned or photographed, works out who is in them and roughly when, and builds a private archive in one of three experiences you choose: a family tree, a timeline or a life story. Starting in Atlanta.
Christmas: book by December 1 for delivery and a family reveal before December 23.

After cleanup
You talk to a person twice, at the start and at the reveal. Everything in between is done for you.
Share your folder link when you book. I look through it first, then we talk about what's there and what you want it for. You get a written summary and a fixed quote within two days.
Photos are straightened, cropped and color-corrected, duplicates are flagged, and each one gets names, a date range and the reason for it.
I walk the family through the finished archive. We name the faces nobody remembered while everyone is on the call.
Relatives answer "Who is this?" questions and add memories from their phones. You can download everything at any time.
What you'll need
Greenjar doesn't scan prints yet. Every archive starts from one of these two places.
Photos that were scanned or taken digitally and saved somewhere you can share a link to.
Good phone photos of each print work well. An iPhone or similar is enough if you take care with each shot.
Have boxes of prints and no time to photograph them? Send them to a bulk scanning service first, for roughly $0.12 to $0.30 a photo, and we'll start from the files they send back.
Example archive
Your archive is built around the one that fits your family: who is in it, when it happened, or one person's story. Try each with the Calloways, a sample family of four generations.

Sample data. The Calloways are a fictional family, and these photos were generated for this demo. Real archives use your family's own photos.
A real archive
This is my own high school show choir scrapbook from 1985 to 1988, rebuilt with the same process. Clippings, tickets, programs and photos are sorted by season, and the pages with no printed date were placed by their costume color or their neighbors in the book.

Unknown faces go into a short queue. Invited family tap an answer, and each answer is shown with who gave it, so nothing gets guessed into the record.

Dale said "Aunt Bea" two days ago. One more answer confirms it.

The archive is private. You decide which relatives can see it.
Edits are made on copies. Your original files never change.
Download the whole archive, photos and captions, whenever you want.
My working copies are deleted 30 days after your archive is delivered.
Please know before you share: to build your archive, I will open, view and work with every file you send, including any letters or documents. They're used only for your archive. Nothing is shared or used in examples without your written permission, and the AI tools that help with cleanup and dating work on copies, never your originals.
Tell me where your photos are and roughly how many. I'll reply within a day to set up the Zoom call.
